At Walk for Life 2016 Every Life Mattered!

October 8th was a beautiful day for a walk in the park! Close to 200 walkers gathered to celebrate life, raise awareness and earn pledges for Heartbeat's mission to empower women to choose life through the love of Jesus. Pledges totaled over $21,500. Thank you to everyone who helped to make the the event such a success!

Walkers with Distinction

  • Oldest Walker: Phyllis Conley (Phyllis, at a beautiful 88 years, also volunteers in the Heartbeat offices!)

  • Walker with the most Pledges (at the Walk): The late Chris DeLauder with $1,813 (Chris was a cherished supporter of Heartbeat during his short life and continues to bless the ministry through a memorial fund.)

  • Walker with the most Pledges (not at the Walk): Marsha VonLudmann with $2,215 (After being the director of Heartbeat for 25 years, Marsha and her husband still actively support the Walk for Life!)

 

Group Awards

Group with the Most Walkers: 

  • Northside Church with 18 walkers (including Pastor Larry Rose and his wonderful wife Marge!)
